With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Shannon founded Conan Construction with a passion for quality craftsmanship and a hands-on approach to every project. His expertise spans business development, estimating, project management, and operations, always with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Shannon’s leadership is built on integrity, quick decision-making, and fostering strong relationships with clients and the Conan team.
Outside of work, Shannon is dedicated to his family, coaching his son’s sports teams, and being actively involved in their activities. He values spending quality time with loved ones, whether it’s enjoying the outdoors, attending family events, or supporting his kids’ endeavors—and brings that same sense of care and commitment into every project he leads.

Pelin Karakas
VICE-PRESIDENT

As Vice President of Conan Construction, Pelin Karakas oversees both public and private construction projects, ensuring each one meets the highest standards of quality. Originally from Turkey, Pelin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Gazi University and went on to complete her Master’s in Construction Management and MBA at the University of Nevada, Reno.
With over 30 years of experience, Pelin blends her architectural expertise with her exceptional estimating skills to guide her teams through complex design and construction challenges. She has consistently led projects to award-winning success, delivering them on time and on budget. Outside of work, Pelin is passionate about traveling and exploring different cultures, often seeking new experiences that inspire both her personal and professional life. She also enjoys staying active, playing the piano and spending quality time with her family.
